The Daughters of Liberty’s Legacy
together with the Village of Elmsford community
will be commemorating the four heroes of World War
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd at 2PM at the
(Former) Elmsford Reformed Church
30 So. Central Ave. (Rt 9A), Elmsford, NY
Four United States Army chaplains gave their lives to save military personnel as the troop ship SS Dorchester sank in the icy North Atlantic during the early morning hours of February 3rd , 1943, after being torpedoed by a German submarine off Newfoundland. There will be a video presentation, music, candle lighting ceremony and light refreshments.
