Monitors/Floaters: We are looking for candidates who have some school or camp experience to help with the flow of our camp day to serve as monitors ( lunch time, drop off time, event help) and/or floaters ( sub for teachers or counselors, office staff help, assistance with special needs campers). Candidates must be at least 21 years of age. Medical Director and Medical Staff Assistants: We need new medical staff for our camps this season!
Our medical director must have a current certification of EMT, paramedic, RN, or LPN. This person is responsible for overseeing all health operations including but not limited to the organization of BOH health paperwork and supplies, the management of vaccine paperwork, the organization and maintenance of supplies, the holding of medications, the daily health log, reporting injury/illnesses to board of health, and of course treating the booboos and injuries as they come in. Please send a resume or letter of interest to summercamp@elmsfordny.org with a copy of certification. Dates of camp/work are July 1st---August 2nd with some orientation the week before. Salary is dependent on certs and experience and is from 4000—6000 range for summer.
Our medical staff assistants do not need the above certifications but must be willing to get RTE certified ( we will certify you) and have an interest in pursuing a degree in the medical field.
