Duties of the Treasurer:
The Treasurer of the Village of Elmsford is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the financial statements and dissemination of various financial reports to the Village Administrator, Village Board of Trustees and various regulatory agencies. The reports are based on a fiscal year of June 1st through May 31st. She keeps the Village accounts with a detailed, classified budget control as prescribed by the State Comptroller. Her oversight of the financial records includes, but is not limited to, cash management, management of debt, capital projects.
The Deputy Treasurer assists the Treasurer by providing analysis as needed, preparing the bi-weekly payroll, maintaining attendance records and overseeing the implementation of new programs and other technical upgrades regarding the computer systems. In addition, the duties include overview of the processing of vendor invoices and maintenance of the vendor files.
