Backflow Prevention - Cross Connection control Program

In accordance with State Health Department Law the Village of Elmsford has a cross connection control program to protect the drinking water supply from contamination by illegal cross connections into the water system.  As part of the program, all commercial water connections must have an approved backflow prevention device installed, tested annually and approved by the Westchester County Department of Health.  An application must be submitted to the Village Engineer including plans prepared by a licensed Engineer or Architect to begin the process.  For more informaiton and forms, visit the County Health Department Corss Connection Program Page:
